You can’t go back and start a new beginning. But you can start today and create a new ending. If you’re in a career, for 15-20 years and you need to change your career, nothing changes if nothing changes. You have to take steps and this is the best way to do it, through The Interpreter’s Lab. Keep doing the work that you’re doing, and part-time, once a week, you can join The Interpreter’s Lab online, finish the course, which doesn’t take long, have some fun along the way, and make so many good friends. And then you change your career, you start making money, and you can slide into this career.

The Interpreter's Lab has done a great job in helping interpreters develop our knowledge and skills to a higher professional level. I always enjoyed all the courses at The Interpreter's Lab and enjoy all the monthly seminar too. As a professional interpreter and translator, we are always learning new things, every day and we need a professional organization to help us learn about new trends, terminology, and technology. We also need our peers to share and talk with about our experiences so that we can improve our skills, gain new knowledge about our industry, and keep up with our professional standards. TIL provides me all of the above. The Interpreter's Lab has done great jobs in helping us interpreters to develop our knowledge and skills to a higher professional level. Personally, I have benefited a lot. I also want to show my great appreciation to Angela for your great help, kindness and compassion to me!

I would definitely recommend TIL to anyone because of its highly professional environment, experienced teachers and well-designed training modules. TIL's training has had a very positive impact on me so far and I am sure it will lead me to certification and help me contribute positively to the community with my services as a professional interpreter. On a personal front it has added a lot to my knowledge about critical thinking and decision making. I have also gained knowledge about how to work on improving Memory skills and Active Listening skills.

The course has helped me in gaining employment and having applied what I learned makes my job a lot easier when I am interpreting.

I took the Interpreting in Court and Legal Settings course in 2020. This course was very informative about the Canadian legal system, procedures, as well as the difficult situations that interpreters may face in their work. It was especially unique in that it included a certified court interpreter in the course as well as other professionals in the industry. Some great takeaways were the colleagues I met, the resources and tools, as well as the various places that an interpreter can look for work as an independent contractor. This course can be useful no matter what level of interpreter you are and does not require you to have legal knowledge beforehand. You will also learn about various resources and tools on how to practice interpreting and improve your skills. I have some legal setting interpreter experience and hope to one day become certified as a court interpreter. This course was a great fit for me!
