Prepare for Your CTTIC Exam
Canadian Translators, Terminologists and Interpreters Council (CTTIC)
Take the standardized national exams to become a certified interpreter.
The CTTIC oversees professional standards in interpreting and translation across Canada (except in Quebec) via standardized exams that assess skill, knowledge and interpreting capabilities. Partner organizations across the country, such as the Society of Translators and Interpreters of BC (STIBC), administer the exams and certifications.
Successful achievement of these exams earns interpreters the right to use the following applicable titles:
- Certified Translator
- Certified Terminologist
- Certified Community Interpreter
- Certified Conference Interpreter
- Certified Court Interpreter
- Certified Medical Interpreter
